Open Question: I have been storing a vehicle for a so called friend for over a year. How could I get the title?
A friend of mine went to jail and at the time of his arrest his car was impounded by the police. As a favor, I paid for the car to be released which cost me around $1500. Since then I have stored the car in my garage for over one year and soon he will be released from jail and expects to come collect the vehicle without paying me for all of my expenses (i.e. storage, police fees, insurance). How could I get the title of this vehicle that is worth less then 4000?
