Resolved Question: 36 days before delivery, My MIL wants to Disown the my husband,me and the baby?? Advice.?
My husband is an only child and were due next month with our first child and first grandchild on both sides.
Well my MIL garage broke and now she can’t use it. She called us Last night because my husband used the garage a week ago to get his car out of storage while our new one at our house was being built..My husband said “Mom, you need to get the garage door fixed, it’s going to break if you keep using it”.
Well she kept using it and it finally broke…a week after my husband took his car out of storage. He didn’t use the garage door except for once which was at the start of August..
Anyways last night she called us at 10pm and the first thing she said was “You ungrateful son of a Bit** you guys left me with a broken garage door”. My husband said ” Mom why are you calling us at 10pm and No I didn’t break the garage door. Mom can we talk about it later…That’s when the Shi* hit the ceiling!! She went on calling my husband a useless piece of crap, saying he was nothing but garbarage an asshol@ and etc etc. She said if he didn’t come out that very second to fix the garage she was going to disown the whole family..
Seriously over the garage..I finally took the phone off away from my husband and told my mil ” I said mom, I am really sorry your garage door is broken, after work edwin will come over and look at it. But Please don’t call us at 10pm screaming about a garage door…She said ‘Put my useless piece of crap son on the phone and it you don’t it’s over and I am done with both of you”…
This came out of nowhere..I mean nowhere. Just the previous day she was at our baby shower celebrating and taking pictures..But with my husband being her only child and her living alone..She counts on my husband for EVERYTHING!…Cutting the grass, shovling the snow etc.
She is still her in 40s pretty young but so dramatic…
I need your advice..Should I just stay out and hope she turns around or say something.
